To receive direct services, your business must fall into one of the following retail categories: Men's & Women's Apparel, Accessories, Home Furnishings, Shoes, Furniture, Sporting Goods & Apparel, Gifts, Electronics, Bookstore, Film/Performance Theater or Live Music Venue.

The DAA provides marketing education seminars and toolkits to help downtown retailers maximize the effectiveness of their campaigns. We also supplement retailers’ efforts through public relations efforts and communications tools such as our website by marketing the downtown area and its individual districts as prime shopping destinations – especially during the holidays.

The DAA continually advocates for infrastructure improvements that will contribute to a positive retail environment and enhance window merchandising. For example, we funded year-round, decorative lighting of all 136 trees along Congress Avenue. These lights will unify the Avenue visually, enhance the outdoor dining environment and provide retailers and property owners with a foundation for holiday decorations.
